In 2019, Herbert and Andrew Obrecht decided to build a platform to help the culinary visionaries within our province to grow their successful businesses! Combining 40 years in the Culinary Industry, with the entrepreneurial fire for building local communities, their team and members have a vision of helping build our Agri-Food economy in Alberta and beyond.

Herbert is well known in Calgary for his obsession for quality, Innovative cuisine, presentation and emphasis on style, Texture and taste.

Herbert has been a professional chef for over 40 years, holder of a Master Chef certificate from the Austrian Faculty of Chefs. His extensive experience includes 2 Olympic Games, Assignments for ABC and CTV television, cooking for Royalty, heads of state and celebrities and is recipient of several awards in Europe and Canada.

Most recently, Herbert has operated one of Calgary’s most experienced catering talents, Deluxe Catering, providing catering and major event related services to thousands of events over the years.

Herbert has in-depth knowledge of every discipline within the Catering and food production industry, including high-production cooking, restaurant development & ownership, menu consultation and creation and wedding and event Catering. Herbert decided that it was time to provide his wealth of knowledge and expertise to the new generation of culinary visionaries through Culinary Coworking©.

Andrew has paved his way as an entrepreneur and community building in his own right. Passionate about building connection and empowering others, he co-Founded YYC CYCLE and YEG CYCLE – Spin Studios in Calgary and Edmonton. YYC Cycle now has two locations in Calgary, and two locations in Edmonton, and the culture of community and motivation shows no signs of slowing down. 

Driven by impact, Andrew and his Studios have raised over $650,000.00 for various charities through their Give’r campaigns and charitable initiatives through the studio.  Outside of his studios, Andrew strives to inspire through giving back to the community by actively supporting multiple charity organizations; including, ATBX (mentoring entrepreneurs), Prostate Cancer Centre, JDRF, United Way Canada & Prospect Human Services where he teaches spin classes for adults with disabilities.

Andrew is also part of Entrepreneurs Organization, and through this has found passion in mentoring and coaching other entrepreneurs on their visions for building successful companies and cultures. Andrew’s belief in building community and helping entrepreneurs has brought him together with Herbert in creating Culinary Coworking©. A community of possibility, built by inspiring, creative visionaries within the culinary industry.
